While studying industrial design in undergrad, I found myself finishing the product designing part so I could get to the branding part. Luckily I had professors who encouraged me to do just that. Here’s some of what I made and learned during that time.
While form follows function in design, we explored form first in this exercise.
We spent weeks learning how to draw straight lines without a ruler. And then planes in space. And then boxes. One of my professor said if you could draw a box, you could draw anything.
In the following projects, we learned to start with a problem and go from there.
